Fire and Police Awards

    Brad Pierce and Dave Williams.
Dave Williams noticed that a fire and
police award he had initiated several
years ago had been deleted.
The award is for sworn officers in
the police department and fire
department who perform their job
in an exemplary manner over and
above their regular job requirements.
The awards committee in each
department will actually make
the selection and present the person to
Rotary for the award.
He presented the award to the Aurora
Rotary Board.  The award
consists of a bronze eagle the awardee
gets to keep, their name engraved on a
permanent plaque kept by the
departments and a $100 gift certificate
to The Outback.
Kristin Kleinholtza club member and
manager of The Outback, is contributing
the gift certificates.

 Recent Iranian Trip

Dick Schutt went with a group of
15 people to Iran in October of this year.
Dick had an interesting power point
presentation.  It focused on the
friendliness of the people, the parks,
and activity he saw, mainly lots of
construction.
