the Rotary Moment
Rotary is an international organization
with clubs in 153 countries and a million
members. Rotary must take a world view
in an effort to achieve peace.
Vocational Talks
Dave Williams anounced that we will have
vocational talks twice a month. They will
be five minute talks and will be part of the
agenda. There will be a regular half hour
program as usual, so it will be
important to maintain time control.
He hopes to have volunteers so he wont
have to "volunteer" members to talk.

Relentless Jason Romero
Jason Romero is a motivational speaker. He is
legally blind with retinal pigmentosis;
He describes this as looking through
two 1.5 inch cylinders.
He felt he had a "calling" to run across
America. He started at the Santa Monica
pier in California and proceeded to run
3063 miles in 59.5 days.
He was accompanied by his mother
driving his brother's Dodge minivan.
He had to eat 10,000 calories a day.
She would drive ahead of him and have
a meal ready for him. He would eat and
then continue -- sleep eat drink run repeat.
He drew some universal lessons that
would help anyone succeed.
