Marin Toscano spent a year in
China and reported on their
choice of foods and why they
choose what they do.
The Chinese have spent time
catgaloging the benefits of certain
foods and when they can be of
value at certain times of the
year. Marin describes herself
as food indulgent and how her
parents catered to that indulgence.
It led her to try various foods. She
had a co-presenter, Shin Shin from
Myanmar, previously Burma, who
was conversant with the Marin's
subject. An interesting note on the
origin of Burma as the name of the
country in Asia. Burma is the name
of one sect of people. Their are many
sects their and the word Myanmar
encompasses them all.
