- Load Up Flowers at the Convention Center Overview of Flower Power: Several thousand flowers from the Colorado Home and Gardens Show are donated to Rotary. The flowers are boxed up by volunteers after the Show concludes and are loaded into a semi truck. The flowers are then picked up at Empower Field the next morning by Rotary Clubs across the metro area and delivered to residents in skilled care communities. 2:30p.m. Meet at the Iliff Light Rail Station Volunteer DETAILS: The station is located near I-225 and Iliff Ave, a little more than a block west of South Blackhawk Street in Aurora. There is plenty of covered parking. We will depart at 2:40p.m. Purchase of a Light Rail day pass is necessary. Volunteers can check out the Show for free and then gather at the lecture area. Approximately 50 Rangeview Interact students will be going down on the Light Rail. Volunteers are encouraged to go along on the Light Rail to ensure the necessary student to chaperone ratio. After all the flowers are loaded up we will leave the Convention Center at approximately 7:20p.m. to catch the 7:30p.m. Light Rail back to the Iliff Station at 8:20p.m. Students will be brown bagging their own dinner/snacks. Rotarian volunteers are encouraged to do the same. Volunteers Needed: 4 #2 Flower Power - Flower Delivery to Hampden Hills Post Acute Care Residents 14699 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 WHEN: Monday, March 4, 8-9:30a.m. Volunteers unload 100 potted flowers which are in large boxes (6-8 flower pots per box). After unloading volunteers assist residents in selecting a flower. Volunteers Needed: 10 |

Please Join us for the Aurora Symphony rehearsal Aurora Public Library (Central) 14949 E Alameda Pkwy, Aurora, CO 80012 Please arrive between 6:00-6:15 through the open door to the left of the main entrance (The library main doors close at 6:00) You can come and go as you please as long as you stay quite Rehearsal starts at 7pm and runs till 9pm with a break half way through. You will have a chance to talk to the musicians prior to the start of rehearsal |
