March Social: Tour of Food Bank of the Rockies
Mar 18, 2026 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

The Rotary Club of Aurora will receive a special tour of the NEW Food Bank of the Rockies facility in Aurora! Food Bank of the Rockies officially opened this 270,000-square-foot distribution center at 20600 E. 38th Ave. on February 6, 2026, to help address increased food insecurity.

This purpose-built facility triples volunteer capacity, doubles cold storage, and quadruples kitchen space—helping Food Bank of the Rockies distribute significantly more fresh, nutritious food across Colorado and Wyoming.

🕦 Tour time: 11:30 a.m.
📍 Location: 20600 E. 38th Ave., Aurora
🍽️ Optional: If you’d like, we can head to lunch together afterward.

Please RSVP so we can provide an accurate headcount.

Aurora Public Safety FIELD DAY
May 16, 2026 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Become a COMMUNITY PARTNER at the Aurora Public Safety

 FIELD DAY

Date:   May 16th, 2026 from 10:00-1:00

Location:  City of Aurora Public Safety Training Center

25950 E Quincy Ave (next to Arapahoe Co Fairgrounds)

The Aurora Fire Rescue, Aurora Police Department, Aurora Rotary Club and Smoky Hill Rotary Club invite you to be a part of the free Public Safety Field Day! This exciting event offers educational and fun activities for families and children, with the goal of raising funds for a Mobile Fire Safety Trailer. The trailer will be used at schools and in the community to teach children how to escape home fires and promote fire prevention strategies.

Now in its third year, we expect 500-800 participants and are seeking sponsors who can promote their business while supporting this crucial cause as a CHAMPION of fire safety education.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

-$250 donation:  Receive a 10x10 event space. Donations will support the purchase of the Mobile Fire Safety Trailer.

You are welcome to set up a tent in your designated space (bring your own table and chairs).  Due to possible windy conditions, weigh down your tent. Kids love stickers and stamps if you want to provide those at your table. You can also provide a gift basket or item to be given out at our event drawings. The event starts at 10:00, so arrive by 9:30 for set-up.

There are only 20 sponsor spaces, so act fast and secure your spot by emailing rrichardsr@msn.com. Please include the following:

  1. Company name
  2. Contact person’s name
  3. Contact phone number and email address
  4. Gift basket or item provided for raffle: Yes or No

For additional Community Partnership Donor opportunities available with added benefits, email Rick Richard at rrichardsr@msn.com

Rotary Family Picnic (& Installation Ceremony)
Jun 06, 2026 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM

1st Annual Rotary Family Picnic Potluck

Grab your lawn chairs, bring the family, and join us for our 1st Annual Rotary Family Picnic Potluck on Saturday, June 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Red Tail Hawk Park in Aurora!

This will be a fun-filled afternoon of great food, laughter, fellowship, and family-friendly games and activities for all ages. The club will be providing the main course, and we’re asking everyone attending to bring a favorite side dish, dessert, or other item to share with the group.

To make the day even more special, Kelly Goebel has chosen to celebrate her Presidential Installation during the picnic, and Ryan is excited to officially pass the torch in what promises to be a memorable and meaningful moment for our club.

We’d love to see lots of Rotary families come out and enjoy the afternoon together. Please make sure to register yourself and each family member attending, and don’t forget to include what you’ll be bringing for the potluck.

Let’s make this first annual event a wonderful new Rotary tradition!
