Board Notes
The board recognized that the time
for new members to be brought in
was taking too long. A motion
was made to reduce the number of publications
from three to one. In addition, the interview
will take place after the first or second visit.
Both motions passed.
Linda Witulski reported that The State of the City
brought in $29,521.86.

Red-Tailed Hawk Park
Club's Signature Event
Tracey Young with Aurora Parks and Open Space
described how pleased she was that the Aurora
Rotary Club stepped forward to raise the
money for the park. She ran a video of the
plans for the park which was excellent.
The primary goal is to create a park where
disabled children can play side by side with
other children
There were three care givers who brought the disabled children they care for.
A question was asked about how many disabled
children were in the area.? The answer was 4500
special needs children in the area.
Question two: How will the children get to the
park? The schools, the Salvation Army and the YMCA have indicated they will help.
At the end of the meeting, members were asked
to volunteer for one of the committees.
There were tear sheets taped to the wall,-
one for each committee with a chairman
at the top for each committee.
The committees are:

Business outreach
Fund Raising
Rotary outreach
Publications
Public relations
Community church outreach
Thank you letters
