Now that we are back in person, please remember of give Kimberly Armitage your meal preference if you are attending. She puts in a lot of work to make sure we are served the meal we want in a safe manner. To that end, she has some requests:
  • If you RSVP and can't make it, please let Kimberly know. Seems we  often pay for lunches for members that RSVP but don't show
  • If you fail to RSVP by Noon on Mondays but still want to come, please contact Kimberly directly with your lunch request. We'd hate for you to not get a lunch
  • If you are bringing a guest, be sure to let Kimberly know their lunch preference. We'd REALLY hate for your guest to go hungry
  • All this applies if you or a guest has a special dietary need. We want to be good hosts and the Radisson is willing to accommodate but they have to be aware so please be a thoughtful host and let Kimberly know
President-elect Danielle Lammon had the first meeting of the new Cares subcommittee under the Membership committee. Several people attended and they are well on their way to starting up. If you are still interested in reaching out to members we haven't seen in awhile and keeping members engaged, please contact Danielle and she will make sure you are included.
President Phil Gibson awarded two of our members with additional Paul Harris awards. Congratulations to Membership Chair Brad Pierce for his Paul Harris +2 and Treasurer Ric Martin for his Paul Harris +1. The Rotary community thanks you both for your contribution to the great work we do!
With much sadness we are quickly approaching the last meeting with David Dreibelbis. David is moving his family to Durham North Carolina. February 24th will be David's last meeting. Be sure to attend next week February 17th when we will honor and thank David for all his hard work. You may have noticed that Josh Hultman has been running the Zoom/Room aspect of the meeting with David's help for the past few weeks. Even as he departs, David continues to add value by passing on his knowledge. We would like to thank both for their dedication to the success of our online and hybrid meetings!
New member Daniel Olvera-Leal gave a very interesting vocational talk. Danial is originally from "the beach" in Tampico, Mexico. He is educated as an Industrial Engineer and received his Masters from CSU. Daniel currently sells pre-planning for a funeral home. To see how that transition happened, click here and go to 12:01.
The daughter of President-Elect Danielle Lammon, Bailey presented an account of her world travels and the challenges brought on by "a little thing called COVID." She has traveled about a year now and is on her way to start another galavant around the world. Click here for Bailey's entire presentation at 20:10. It will make you smile!
Here is some additional information provided by  District 5450:

The Natural Disaster Response Committee is currently working with local Rotarians and contacts in Grand Lake and other effected areas to determine how best to distribute donated funds. It will take some time before needs assessments can be completed. Donations can be made online or you can mail a check to Rotary District 5450, Subject Line: Colorado Fires, 5103 Dvorak Circle, Frederick CO 80504. Click Here to learn more and see photos, or click here to watch a short video on the fires.
Please watch and share this great THANK YOU VIDEO from Rotarians around the District. We want it to reach as many Healthcare Workers and facilities throughout not only Colorado, but around the country and the world! Let everyone know how much they are appreciated!

We care about the health and safety of our member and community. As we continue to monitor and learn more about the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to share some information with you. You’ve probably seen the following guidelines before, but they’re important and worth repeating:

⦁ Wear a cloth mask that fully covers your mouth and nose.
⦁ Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after each use of disposable gloves.
⦁ When returning home take off shoes and clothing leaving them by the door.
⦁ Wash your face and hands before touching anything in your home after going outside.
