2019 State of the city - mayor bob legare

Aurora Mayor Bob LeGare provided an overview of new projects and exciting changes happening in Aurora in the last year during the annual Aurora State of the City event hosted by the Rotary Club of Aurora.  There is a tremendous amount of growth occurring in the City of Aurora.  Great    biotech growth on the Fitzsimmons campus, the opening of the VA Hospital which will serve 80K veterans, the growth of North Aurora and the Stanley Marketplace, opening of the RTD R Line, continued growth and changes at the Aurora Town Center and many more exciting opportunities happening in Aurora.    One area that Mayor LeGare has always been a big proponent of is infrastructure and this was no exception.   He indicated that our spending on infrastructure support is willfully low and for the first time since he has been on council and as Mayor the council is supportive of this endeavor.  Now the hard work begins on determining how to pay for infrastructure improvements.

This year's event was hosted at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.

See link button below to watch the video that was played at the event for more insight.
