- State of City - Postponed until the fall.  Appears to be a good thing because they are still selling tables according to Member Patti Bateman.

Member Sam LeMar provided his vocational at the meeting.  Sam grew up in Hawaii with his single mom.  He is from a long line of military family members.  Sam had been involved with the Salvation Army as a kid for 12+ years.  Sam had addiction issues as a young man and spent 4 years in a Federal prison. After his release from prison Sam reconnected with the Salvation Army and started in Salt Lake City.  Sam lost his first wife and was challenged to either go back to his old life or stay with the Salvation Army.  He chose to stick with his calling within the Salvation Army and then was tasked to run a Drug Rehab Facility in Long Beach.  He met Felicia and they were married.  SA works with husband/wife teams and both he and Felicia have attended the SA College in California that provides an Associate degree in Business and Theology.  This allows them to work as administrators for the corp and build the community for Christ.  Sam has been sober for 20 years and has enjoyed his experience with the Salvation Army as well as feeling very blessed in all areas of his life.  Thanks Sam for sharing your story and being so transparent.

COVID19 Information

We care about the health and safety of our member and community. As we continue to monitor and learn more about the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to share some information with you. You’ve probably seen the following guidelines before, but they’re important and worth repeating:

Stay at home and do not travel.
If you need medical attention and it is a non-emergency, please call your doctor, do not attempt to travel to the emergency room.
If you need medication, please check with your local pharmacy. NOTE: Many of the larger drug chains will deliver without additional charge.

**IF YOU MUST LEAVE HOME:
⦁ Wear a cloth mask that fully covers your mouth and nose.
⦁ Wear gloves when going outside and keep them on while outside.
⦁ Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after each use of disposable gloves.
⦁ When returning home take off shoes and clothing leaving them by the door.
⦁ Wash your face and hands before touching anything in your home after going outside.
⦁ If using a cloth mask, wash it every day in hot soapy water and air dry.
