President Phil Gibson gave a brief explanation of a project the Rotary Club of Centennial is working on. They are combining a Grant with an Award and naming it a Graward. It will go to the heart of diversity and recognize someone for something they PLAN to do. This differs from most recognition in that it is for some future accomplishment rather than after-the-fact. More information in forth coming.
--------------------
With much sadness we said a reluctant farewell to member David Dreibelbis. David is moving his family to Durham North Carolina. February 24th will be David's last meeting. President Phil honored him with the Rotarian of the Quarter recognition for his dedication and hard work. Well deserved!
We will miss his smiling face and all the technical difficulties he gets us out of! Godspeed our friend and devoted member. David assures us he will continue to join our meetings via Zoom. Good for us!
--------------------
President Phil reminded us of three service projects coming up in April. The Highline Canal cleanup is scheduled for Saturday April 24.
The partnership with member and
Assistant District Governor Regina Edmondson's organization
Second Chance Center where we will help prep, deliver and cleanup after a food drive is scheduled for Saturday May 8.
The clean up at
The Urban Farm doesn't have a set date yet so stay tuned. This organization works with troubled youth in the Denver area.
--------------------
President Phil mentioned the passing of conservative icon Rush Limbaugh. A great loss for conservative voices.

Here is some additional information provided by District 5450:
