Club members would like to thank President Phil Gibson and Member Daniel Olvera-Leal for taking on the A/V duties today! Challenges were overcome and the meeting continued with great content.
--------------------
President-Elect Danielle Lammon ran the meeting since President Phil was a tad busy. She reminded us of three service projects coming up:
The Highline Canal cleanup is scheduled for Saturday April 24.
The partnership with member and
Assistant District Governor Regina Edmondson's organization
Second Chance Center where we will help prep, deliver and cleanup after a food drive is scheduled for Saturday May 8.
The clean up at
The Urban Farm doesn't have a set date yet so stay tuned. This organization works with troubled youth in the Denver area.
----------------------
President-Elect Danielle Lammon is hosting a paper-shredding event in the parking lot of the Danielle Shannon Allstate Agency on Liverpool Street in Aurora on May 1st. She is currently working with Blue Star Recyclers to see if they will conduct an electronic device drop-off at the same time.
----------------------
President-Elect Danielle Lammon presented Daniel Olvera-Leal with his blue badge. Daniel has only had his red badge a couple of months and already has contributed so much. We look forward to more great things from Daniel! Congratulations!!
---------------------
With March 31st being the 5th Wednesday of the month, the club is planning an event at Tom's restaurant, Carm and Gia Metropolitan. When the invitation comes out please RSVP as quickly as you can so we knows how many people will be on the patio.
----------------------
Member Kimberly Armitage is planning a social event in the spring, some time after Easter. Once Arapahoe County goes to Blue on the COVID-19 scale she will make the reservations. Stay tuned.
