Member Phil Gibson had guest Keith Wexler with us on Wednesday.  Keith helps run a genetics company in the Tech Center.

Member Art Wolfe(pictured) announced the final session of Shots for Tots.  Last session was so busy they had to close the doors due to staff shortages.  Members Patti, Jim, and Rick will be joining Art on June 8th to help out.   Thanks Art and all the volunteers for helping Tri-County Health this year with this fantastic community program.

Member Max Blair asked to share the following with the members:

Fellow Rotarians,
As I mentioned at our meeting on Wednesday 5/22, the City of Aurora is currently seeking input from it’s residents on the use of Operator Agreement to regulate Oil and Gas Development within the City.  The link below has been provided by the City to offer some background information and to collect citizen comments.  There will be a discussion about Oil & Gas Development at the next regular City Council meeting on Monday 6/3.  Some of that discussion will likely be based on the feedback they receive through the link below.  I encourage you to share your thoughts with the City.
Thanks,
Maxwell

Colorado Clown Alley - Kolo and Bobbe

Two clowns joined our members on Wednesday from Colorado Clown Alley, Kolo and Bobbe.  Fran "Kolo" Etzkorn shared many of the philosophies of clowing and showed how she puts on her makeup.  Colorado Clown Alley is a non-profit,non-sectarian and a non-political group.  Their mission is to bring together and educate serious-minded amateur, semi-professional and professional clowns devoted to the ART of clowning.  They do this by exchanging ideas and sharing information, we learn at Clown Conventions and Clown Camps.   They have dedicated their clown life to bring smiles, joy, happiness, giggles and fun into as many lives as we can.  They do this through Caring Clowns at hospitals, parades, schools, special fund-raising events, company picnics etc.   Bobbe is a hospital clown and goes to Swedish hospital to help people smile and laugh through magic and silly jokes.   Kolo has been clowning for several years and enjoys helping people laugh.  Clowns spend a lot of time mastering their craft and their is a structure in the clowning world, white face being the highest level clown.

Kolo brought us all red noses and our members had fun putting these on our faces.   Check out the Facebook page for a few of the pictures of members with red noses.

Thanks Kolo and Bobbe for presenting to the club and sharing clowning with us.  Check out the button below for additional details about Colorado Clown Alley.
