There was NO meeting at the Doubletree last week. We met at the Aurora Radisson on Parker Rd to listen to a discussion/forum with Congressman Mike Coffman and candidate Jason Crow. They are running against each other for the seat in the 6th Congressional District. We would like to thank President Jim Bickford and the Aurora Chamber of Commerce for providing us the opportunity to listen to the two candidates. The Rotary Club of Aurora had a strong showing filling up 3 tables. A few of the questions presented were:
1) What are your perspectives on Buckley Air Force Base and how will you work to preserve this for the city of Aurora?
2) How do intend to approach the issue of
affordable housing in the District?
3) What is your approach with the VA and
supporting veterans in the community?
There were a few audience questions that were submitted prior to the event starting as well.
