Member Linda Witulski would like the Rotary Club of Aurora to nominate itself for some District Awards given out at the annual conference. We have done so many wonderful things and we want to toot our horn! Contact Linda if you are interested in attending a one-hour Zoom meeting to identify which awards we would like to be recognized for.

President Phil mentioned that member Bill Rapp's surgery went well on Monday. Bill is home recuperating and even attended the meeting via Zoom!

We are sad to report that Barbara Rogers, the lovely wife of Member Jim Rogers, passed away last week. Please remember Jim in his time of mourning.

President Phil reminded us of three service projects coming up:
The Highline Canal cleanup is scheduled for Saturday April 24.
The partnership with member and
Assistant District Governor Regina Edmondson's organization
Second Chance Center where we will help prep, deliver and cleanup after a food drive is scheduled for Saturday May 8.
The clean up at
The Urban Farm is tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 17th. This organization works with troubled youth in the Denver area.

Other announcements from the Prez:
Your Board of Directors have recently updated the Bi-laws and Operational Guidelines. Once there is a final vote of approval from the board, members will be given a copy and member Paul Suss will give club members a report on the changes.
The Finance Committee is need of another member. Ric Martin and President-Elect Danielle Lammon are the current members with Paul Suss being nominated. Please let Ric know if you are interested in helping the club maximize available revenue.
Your Board of Directors plan to present a "State of the Club" update the first part of May. We have 9 months of finances and activities under our Rotary year belt so it's time to evaluate and report out to members.

Member John Wolfkill had those in attendance text impactcca to 41444 to register for the free Virtual Scholarship Luncheon April 30th. A registration link was sent back so we all can attend virtually. They are partnering with Aurora TV so tune in to learn about the impact the
CCA Foundation has on the economy. Former Bronco Reggie Rivers will be a guest speaker so you don't want to miss it!

9HEALTH VACCINATION UPDATE - the state has approved 3 new vaccination sites in the Denver area. These will be recurring sites with weekly vaccination clinics through May. Currently 20 Rotary clubs have signed up with the District to provide volunteers for these vaccination clinics.

THE POLIO PLUS SOCIETY was formed to encourage Rotarians to
commit to a minimum of $100 per year to the PolioPlus Fund until polio is eradicated from the face of the earth.

COLORADO WILDFIRE DISASTER RELIEF FUND: The fires may be out, but the need is still great. The Natural Disaster Response Committee is currently working with local Rotarians and contacts in Grand Lake and other effected areas to determine how best to distribute donated funds. It will take some time before needs assessments can be completed.
Donations can be made online or you can mail a check to Rotary District 5450, Subject Line: Colorado Fires, 5103 Dvorak Circle, Frederick CO 80504.

COVID19 Information
We care about the health and safety of our member and community. As we continue to monitor and learn more about the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to share some information with you. You’ve probably seen the following guidelines before, but they’re important and worth repeating:
**IF YOU MUST LEAVE HOME:
⦁ Wear a cloth mask that fully covers your mouth and nose.
⦁ Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after each use of disposable gloves.
⦁ When returning home take off shoes and clothing leaving them by the door.
⦁ Wash your face and hands before touching anything in your home after going outside.
⦁ If using a cloth mask, wash it every day in hot soapy water and air dry.
