Yeasera Fitsum - Treasurer, Rangeview Interact Club
Diana Whye - President, Rotary Club of Centennial
Guest in the Room
Guest Speaker Kevin DeLange, Co-Owner Dry Dock Brewing Company
Members of the Rotary Club of Aurora would like to thank Kimberly Armitage for her courage to take on the A/V and Zoom portions of today's meeting. We know it's hard work and truly appreciate you adding this to your extensive list of duties!
We'd also like to thank Paul Suss for physically setting up the equipment that allowed Kimberly to be successful.
You both exhibit Service Above Self in countless ways.
Member Linda Witulski introduced Rangeview Student Interact members
Josh Alvarez and
Yeasera Fitsum.
Josh and
Yeasera gave an excellent presentation about their club's current project working with
Comitis Crisis Center. They are looking to clean up the apartments and raising money to help furnish the spaces with homey furniture so the residents feel like they are in a comfortable environment. Rotary Club members conducted a "Happy Bucks" campaign around the room and raised $130 for the cause. Contact
Linda if you would like to contribute. A GoFundMe page will be established to facilitate further donations. The link will be shared with you once it's available.
Cleanup days are currently scheduled for April 16th and 17th. Linda can help you get involved with that if you choose.
----------------------
Diana Whye, past member of the Rotary Club of Aurora and current President of the Rotary Club of Centennial informed us of the "Rotary Has a Dream" Diversity Award. This will be the biggest Award given by District 5450. It's particularly unusual because it recognizes and financially supports something a club CAN do, not what they've already done. The Award is designed to help a club help itself. Read
here for more details. If you want to watch her presentation, click
here and go to the 26 second mark.
----------------------
Member Linda Witulski announced that in-person RYLA has been cancelled for the summer of 2021. Plan are in place to perhaps conduct the camp virtually.
----------------------
President Phil mentioned that member Bill Rapp is having surgery Monday. Please keep Bill in your prayers.

It will take some time before needs assessments can be completed.
