Make a Donation
The Rotary Club of Aurora proudly supports our community through the Rotary Club of Aurora Foundation. Each year, the Foundation awards grant funding to local nonprofits and community organizations doing meaningful work across our region. Through a grant application process, eligible organizations can request financial support to help launch, expand, or sustain programs that make a positive impact.
By making a donation to our Foundation, you’re helping fund these grants and support a wide variety of organizations right here in our community—creating real, lasting change close to home.
Aurora Fire Safety Trailer Project
The Aurora Rotary Foundation is excited to announce a fundraising initiative with the goal of raising $200,000 to support the development of a state-of-the-art Educational Fire Safety Trailer for Aurora Fire Department. This vital community project will provide an interactive platform for fire safety education. The trailer will visit Aurora’s elementary schools, offering young students essential fire safety lessons and skills. By making fire safety education more accessible to local schools and community events, the Aurora Fire Rescue Department and Rotary Clubs aim to significantly reduce the risk of fire-related incidents. This project aligns with the comprehensive Community Risk Reduction (CRR) framework and will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of Aurora’s residents. About the Fire Safety Education Trailer “The Educational Fire Safety Trailer is an investment in the future of our community,” said Aurora Fire Chief, Alec Oughton. “It’s going to help save lives and build awareness, especially among our children who will carry these lessons into their future.” Join Us in Making a Difference

President’s Project
Each year, our current Club President has the opportunity to choose a special “President’s Project” for the Club to rally behind. This featured initiative may include hands-on volunteering, fundraising and donations, community support, or a combination of all three. Club members are encouraged to enthusiastically get behind the President’s selected charity or project as we work together to make a meaningful impact in our community.
Ryan Turbyfill, 2025/2026 President, has selected Serenity House Africa as his project.
Serenity House Africa is dedicated to Creating Safe Havens for Africa’s Most Vulnerable Children, with a mission focused on building safety, stability, and opportunity for children in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Their work centers on three powerful areas of impact:
Together, these programs create a pathway from vulnerability to possibility—meeting immediate needs while building long-term futures. |
